Each of us have a ministry (and update on the FBC campus pastor role)

When I locate the website where it is hosted, I will link here to the teaching from this morning at FBC South Campus… but it was/is about the biblical truth, from Ephesians 4 and other passages, that we all have ministry… and more importantly, that we all are ministers!
Further, that the people we often think of as “ministers” (paid staff of a Christian ministry) are really taking on the task of preparing and training ministers.  As Ross Strader, from Bethel Bible said, people who are “called into ministry” are really in many ways being called out of it… and into the role of ministering to the ministers.
In the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, I believe that there is a “(put your name here) Ministries”.  There is a “Billy Graham ministries”, a “Bill Bright” ministries, a “Chrismlegg Ministries” (slightly smaller), “KevinTEast Ministries” etc… and they will stand forever in God’s Kingdom as worship to Him.  Really, in some ways, isn’t CHURCH where these ministries are kind of headquartered?  We are all called, sealed, chosen, gifted, crafted, and adopted as ministers as believers… as followers of Jesus.
ALL
With all that being said, and hopefully a link added soon, I am going to use this space to update anyone who wants to know…
I assume it will turn up here: http://www.fbctyler.org/media#!/swx/pp/media_archives/122304/channel/1962/series/3722
FBC South graciously voted to congregationally invite me (call me) to come be their Campus Pastor, and I (and our whole family) accepted!  This means that over the next month, I will be transitioning to a full time role there.  I am excited to be ministering in a team – ministry setting again.  I am fascinated to see how God will wield my particular gifts, styles, history, into the ministry of FBC Tyler.
and, wow, thanks to everyone who prayed and supported us all in this. Please keep it up.
I am neverendingly amazed at how little I understand and how consistently I mis-predict what God does.  Check out Ephesians 3:20 for the warning to us that this happens.
I look forward to our the counseling clinic continuing to offer great – Godly wisdom based counseling in Tyler myself and through the staff employed at our offices (see https://chrismlegg.com/2011/06/20/marriage-and-family-counseling-in-tyler-texas/ for more details about them)… and the South Campus agrees that this is important enough to keep it going.  903 561 8663…
And have the amazing opportunity to be a blessing to the staff and congregation of an amazing church poised to make a huge impact in the Kingdom of God here in Tyler and well beyond.
Final little note:  If you have a local church, part of the Universal Capital – C Church, that is home to you – make sure you are investing and ministering there and letting that expand out.  If not, especially if you are not part of any local church gathering – we would love to have you come and visit us.
There are no heaven points for us if someone comes and no money comes to us based on our attendance or anything silly like that… we just like people and think that everyone should have someplace to go where people want them there, and everybody knows their name, and are always glad they came… and they can see that people are all the same… wait, that sounds like a song.
It should have been about a church.
