Singing in Saint Ann's Church

This was my third time to take a pilgrimage in Israel – to walk the paths of the saints and prophets…
There are few places in the world that truly “still” me.
Two or three of them are there.  Arbel is the first and most potent.  Maybe I will write more on that someday.
Another one is Saint Ann’s Church in Jerusalem, right next to the ancient uncovered pools of Bethesda.
Saint Ann’s is an old church site rebuilt and completed in 1138AD.  For some reason, it was not destroyed by the Mamelukes, and then later Sa’aladin converted it into a Muslim Seminary (his name is inscribed above the door to this day).  Later, an Ottoman Sultan gifted it to the French for their support in the Crimean War.  It had fallen into disrepair, but was restored then, in about 1856.  It now administered by an Order of the Catholic Church, The White Fathers.  There is much more to the story.
The design of the church allows for the most amazing sound quality, and it is shocking to stand in the proper place and sing.  No video can even come close to doing this justice… it is truly stunning to the soul… but the recent womenary group was recorded singing there.  Singing in this place shocks my soul into stillness every time.
I love you Lord
The Doxology  … watch how long the sound continues after I stop their singing.
PS.  You didn’t know I was a worship leader too!
